Yes, I've always found an egg needed to be used as a binder when making
mashed potato pancakes/croquettes.

I'm not sure what Julie is going for when she says "croquettes".
Something with tomato sauce on top. When I think about croquettes it's
usually made with chicken. In the 1950's. LOL
