What did they give you to drive? In my case, the dealer said they could
flash the ECM with an update. Turned out they burned it out instead so
they gave me a loaner while they waited for a part the next day.

The took in a Sonata, but for the loaner they upped me to a Genesis. I
had it for the day. I liked it so much, a few months later I bought one.

I used their luxury car, their gas, had a nice day out. On the way back
after 150 miles I swapped and got my car back. Stuff happens, nothing
bad I could say.
