Probably the eggs are already present in your rice. All you can do is
prevent them from hatching. Keep your rice, flour and similar, dry
and cool or frozen. Aside from standing out in the field with bugs
crawling on them, grains have lots of opportunities for accumulation
of insect eggs after harvest.
