This is what I use and it does the job just fine. For a 2lb loaf I use
2tsp of this yeast. A 2lb loaf uses 4 cups of flour, weighing something
like 550g.

Your recipe with 1/2 tsp per 450g doesn't sound like enough. Use
about 1 3/4 for this amount of flour. The sachet looks closer. I
would use about 2/3 of a sachet for 450g.
