Default The Theory of Humidity (in Veggie Bins)

The new fridge has two slide bars that allow moisture to escape from
the vegetable drawers (and dehumidified by the controls outside of
the drawers). What is the best setting for these?

I would think dense or "enclosed" veggies and roots such as beets,
ginger, peppers, radishes, carrots, turnips, celery, would benefit
from high humidity ansd less drying out, while leafy/airy vegetables
would benefit from low humidity. Is that how this is supposed to
work?

The manual for this fridge leaves a lot to be desired (Samsung) in
many respects.
