On another venue, I saw one of these being built, and in action. The
guy that built it said it was a fun project, and turned out great
barbecue.

He said it wasn't good with <any> kind of charcoal. It worked best
with wood, burning hardwood to coals. After it was going, he used
lump in it as well with good results.

IIRC, he wasn't sure he would do it again as it is great for big
barbecues, but but really inefficient for a couple of briskets or
butts.
