I didn't know Americans ate eel. Are you from an immigrant family?

I watched a French movie recently were they ate lamprey. First time I had
heard of people eating that. Lake Eire used to have tons of lampreys, but I
never ate it growing up; I doubt anyone in Cleveland did.
