I am making a grape juice wine with 2 pounds of sugar per gallon and a
pound of honey per gallon. Is there a name for this wine/mead combination? Also, are there any commervail meads out there? |

A mead fermented from fruit and honey is called a melomel. Also, are there any commervail meads out there? Yes. Lots. A little googling will help you here. |

Actually a mead made with grape juice is called a Pyment.

I would recommend you use a hydrometer and calculate your sugar/honey
additions. That sounds like a lot of sugar to add, and it quite likely may not complete or possibly even start fermenting. Just a thought... John Dixon "mdginzo" wrote in message oups.com...
