Default Welch's Chardannay ???

I have made several batchs wine from Wech's frozen white grape juice.
I just tried a three gallon batch from the same frozen juice, but this
time I added some flavoring trying to get a poor man's charannay. I
bought a pinnaple and peeled it then put it in the blender and mushed
it up, then bought three mangos, and did the same with them. I then
added this mushed up fruit to my grape juice, and did the regular wine
making procedure. I bottled it couple weeks ago, and it smelled
really good, almost like a cheap chardannay, but it tasted really
strong, maybe cause it hasn't had any ageing, but I have great hopes
in making a wine that almost tastes like chardannay, from frozen
juice.

Now the question, has anyone experimented with this before?? If so
please share their knowledge with me, I have a big head and very
little in it, so I could use all the advise I can get.

Thanks
Jim

A lot of white wines will taste like Chardonnay if they are put through ML
and oak aged or fermented. You might try doing an ML on the Welch's and
adding oak chips. I have not tried this as I do not like the oaky buttery
taste of the way Chardonnay is most often made here. I like mine crisp and
non oaky / buttery but if you like that flavor, I think you might be able
to come close.

James,

please please don't try to make a Chardonnay, its the worst wine in the
universe. Comparing good wine to a Chardonnay is like hanging the Mona Lisa
next to Jordan in a porn pose. It has its place, but basically it is crude
and nasty and totally full of itself.

Aim a little higher my friend.
