"Dick Adams" wrote in message ... OK, BJCP guidelines rule for Beer and Mead. Who rules for Wine Competitions?? Dick Dick, I am only familiar with home wine competitions in California and Arizona. The Sacramento State Fair has a comprehensive training program for all new judges. The Orange County Wine Society has sponsored an annual wine judging seminar for many years. The San Diego Amateur Winemaking Society just completed their seventh wine judging class a few weeks ago. I don't think the home winemaking community has the equivalent to BJCP. -- Lum Del Mar, California, USA |

OK, BJCP guidelines rule for Beer and Mead. Who rules for Wine Competitions?? Dick In UK the the rules followed when judging wines are published by The Amateur Winemakers National Guild of Judges. They've been in use since way back last century, 1964 I believe. They can be found on http://www.nawb.org.uk/ Winemanden |
