Default starter kit

Where's the best site to get a starter kit from?

I'm looking at getting the $80 one on this page:
http://www.thebeeressentials.com/sta...rter_kits.html

With shipping it's like $106. Is that a good deal? What else should I
order with it?

These starter kits are a pretty good way to get going without too much
outlay. You might save a few dollars looking around but not bad prices. I
would recommend you look around for a 5 gallon carboy to match the 6 and
some 1/2 gal jugs. It is good to rack into a 5 gal carboy and a 1/2 gal jug
so you do not have a problem topping up. If you go into this hobby
seriously you will be replacing the corker with a floor model but the one
that comes with it is adequate to get started. Also get some extra airlocks
and rubber bungs to fit the jugs.

Are you getting a kit wine or what to start with?

Sounds steep! I can get one at the local supermarket with everything
you'd need to get started for 40-50 bucks CDN.

I'd shop around some more!

It's used by S&M wine makers.

Can you be more specific? My wife was interested in starting to make some
wine, and we're up here in Canada (Edmonton, to be precise)... Just
wondering where we'd start. Googling and educating myself as I type this...

Thanks,

Clint

Canada seems to be the home of wine making kits. Why don't you contact this
group: http://www.bcawa.ca/index.htm

Ray from Texas
