I don't know about Napa, but I am in the sierra foothills
with 32 wineries around me. We are about two hour drive from Napa. Many of the wine maker/owners would be glad to show you how "they" make wine. Our region is getting a lot of noticed now that so many wineries are springing up here with more on the way, including myself looking into it. Look here for some links to their web pages http://www.edhwm.com/tables/winelink.html#wineries We have a great wine supply house here also, they are online if you care to go that http://www.morninggloryfermentation.com/ If interested look on a map for Placerville that is the county seat, that will give you some idea where we are located.
