Alicia wrote in message ... Showcase your wine labels on tumbled marble tiles for a wall mural in your wine cellar- visit http://www.AliciaTappDesigns.com I don't get it. Apparently the labels are not kiln- fired, but, if I understand it, merely stuck on the tiles.. Why cant I purchase a few tiles from Home Depot and stick my labels on 'em myself ? Regards, BMc. |

I think the idea is that you get the image, but not the label itself
(not the paper). Hence the reason she uses white marble tiles. And I would assume that since she's advertising some of these images for backsplashes, that the image is sealed and is reasonably well protected against wipe-ups, etc. The other point (from the larger images) is that they can create an enlarged image that is put onto a matrix of tiles. Of course you're still free to have a go with a basic marble tile and some clear varnish :-) Richard "Bill McCarty" wrote in message ... Alicia wrote in message ... Hi, They are heat pressed on- baked into the tiles- you see the tumbled effects of the tile through the transferred label ,not glued on or stuck on. They are great for a kitchen backsplash.
