Default Purple Jesus - a "drink"

No disrespect intended, but what's a purple Jesus?
It will certainly give glog a run. Guests would
bring a bottle of whatever and pour it into a
small (but very clean) garbage can. Whiskey, gin,
bourbon, vodka etc., and wine (for the color). If I
was a college student I would say "All right!", but
I'm not, and it sounds like a disgusting combination.
Anyone else heard of a purple Jesus?

When I was in college (UCLA), Purple Jesus was 190 proof ethyl alcohol (Purol or
equivalent) from Tijuana, plus frozen Welches grape juice. Very smooth and
purple, but Jesus, the next day ...

When I was in college, there was a chemical engineering student who
made a Screaming Jesus in a large jug. It was made with just pure grain
alcohol and usually orange juice, but sometimes red grape juice(both
from frozen concentrate). Rarely he would use left over red wine
instead. He added one Kraft caramel to smooth it. When asked why he
called the drink Screaming Jesus, he answered that it was because you
would feel crucified the next day.

You mean "methylated spirit" or "meths"?

It's actually mainly ethanol, but does contain some methanol and
should not be drunk.
