Default Idaho Wines

Hi, I just joined this group and wanted to introduce myself. My wife
and I moved to Southwestern Idaho about a year and a half ago after
growing up and spending our careers in sunny So. Calif.

One of the things I love about this area (and I didn't know it when we
moved here) is that we are right in the middle of Idaho's fast growing
wine industry. Within 15 miles of our home are 8 of the Gem State's
finest award winning wineries.

If you want to learn more about our wines, I encourage you to visit the
Idaho Grape Growers and Wine Producers web site at
http://www.idahowines.org

Also, I am trying to start a Yahoo group about Idaho wines and invite
local wine makers to post articles and maybe even schedule live chats
with them. But I can't do that until the group's membership builds up
so please consider joining at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/idahowines/

Thanks and I look forward to being an active member of alt.food.wine

Mike,

Welcome! FYI, I've tasted a couple very impressive cabs from Sawtooth,
but try finding it in a store. Seems like they're still dealing with
distribution issues in Washington (Seattle area).
