These are the biodynamic wines from the property in Riparbella (Pisa).
Organic agriculture results in healthy grapes, fruit in natural balance with each vine and with the environment. http://www.caiarossa.it/vineyards.htm |

I don't intend to visit the website but I wonder if biodynamic means that it is not necessary to wash off the horrible chemicals? IMHO, it may be like organic celery which always seems to have sizeable amounts of organic soil attached----perhaps to prove its authenticity! -- James V. Silverton Potomac, Maryland, USA |

Silverton Potomac, Maryland, USA Biodynamics is much more than organic and is a whole system approach to growing grapes and making wine that involves everything from the lack of chemicals to lunar phases and cosmic forces. I'm working on a horoscope for my Zin vines to tell me the best time to
spray and harvest, and of course I've paid a Fung Shui consultant to tell me the best way to plant them. I'm now planning to tear out and replant them in a Yin-Yang pattern and harvest in February. |
