Default Wine cooler shelf problems- alternating bottles

I have a Vinotemp 60 bottle wine cooler (built-in) model WC-60 that is
commonly sold at Costco or Sam's Club. The problem I have is that the
rack system is designed to alternate bottles (leftmost goes cork side
in, next bottom side in, etc). If you keep it entirely full, it is not
really a problem. However, whenever there is a gap, I find the bottles
roll around. Anyone else experienced this and have a solution or
source for different racks? I would really prefer to just fit 30 or 40
bottles and have them be secure. I lost a $100+ bottle of port as it
fell down through the shelf.
