Default TN Forster Kirchenstück Auslese 1976

Forster Kirchenst=FCck Riesling Auslese 1976, Dr. B=FCrklin-Wolf, A.P.
Nr. 5 142 043 44 77, DLG Pr=E4miert 1979 Grosser Preis.

This Pfalz wine can be one of the greatest wines of Germany. I have had
it properly stored since release.

The wine is a bright golden color. It is a liquid tropical fruit salad -
mangos, papaya, honey, a hint of petrol, etc. It is very rich and sweet
and coats the mouth, but there is enough acid to balance it perfectly.
In a blind tasting, I would have argued with anyone who suggested it is
an auslese rather than a beerenauslese. It is fully ready, but likely
will last well. It as good as any auslese I can remember in a rich,
fruity style, and is even better than most BAs I have tasted. The DLG
prize was well deserved, in my opinion.
