Sat on the porch and munched on leftovers. Started with the 2006 Muga
Rosado. Light pink with a clean fresh nose of strawberries and melon. Fairly light on the palate, bone dry but quite fruity finishing with a bright acidity. At $11.00 a pretty good value as a summertime quaffer. "B" I recently recieved a number of sample bottles and I came across a bottle of 2005 Perrot-Minot Vosne Romanee VV Villages. I was happy. Deep dark burgundy red color. A bit of black earth on the nose with blackberry and cherry notes. Plenty of sweet black fruit on the palate with a medium body and elegant tannin structure. Really nice for a Village wine and it should retail for about $50. "A-" |
