Default Spanish Wines Monticello Rioja Blanco Description?

Right now the Wine coming from Spain is great pretty much across the
board and many have told me the $7-15 ones are better then the $20-50
ones. The few I've tried I have enjoyed.

I am looking for a breif description of Monticello Rioja Blanco

If you mean Montecillo and not Monticello, this is a traditional Rioja
house. Their reds are usually nice in the classic style. I have not tasted
the white, I am afraid. However, white Rioja is not for everyone, since it
tends to be clearly overoaked from a lesser grape (viura, aka macabeo).
More about oak aging that about the fruit, and many times in quite an
oxidative style (I am thinking López de Heredia).

Best,

S.
