Some years ago there was an article in Harpers (or perhaps the
Atlantic Monthly) called, "Wines of the Great Plains".

Anybody remember?

See Leon Adams classic Wines of America updated in the early 1980's. If
Robert Mondavi is the "father" of American wine, the late Mr Adams is at
least the midwife.
