Hello all,
My husband brought home a slow cooker at the weekend. I have never used one before, and have spent some time searching the internet to find out what to do with it! A trial bean and vegetable soup was extremely tasty, I am inspired to try and do more.....but 95% of recipes seem to be for meat or fish. We are vegetarian and eat mainly beans, grains, veg and fruit. My apologies if this is a common question, could you perhaps direct me to a FAQ on the subject? Thank you in advance, Helen. |

There is a new cookbook out on the subject: "Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow
Cooker" by Robin Robertson. There's a lot of interesting stuff in there besides just your standard slow-cooker entrees and soups. I've only made one thing from it so I can't give you a completely informed opinion but so far, so good! LauraJ "C-Beeby" wrote in message ... Helen, I don't know if you can get it or not but Vegetarian Times is doing an article on using crockpots in their next issue. They will have several if not more recipes for you to try. Good-luck. |
