I would like to make a veganized and adult ( i.e. less than a ton of
sweetener ) version of spaghettios.

I've looked in several markets and I can not find pasta shaped like
little o's. Can anyone point me to a mail order place online that
would sell this kind of pasta?

Thanks much in advance

It _is_ rather surprising you can't find these, isn't it? I mean, the
companies that make the things in tins must get them from _somewhere_.

Would orzo work as an approximation?

Well, I found out that the pasta o shape is aka Anelli. Hormel Foods
talks about it on their website but I can't find it to buy anywhere.
I found stars and alphabets but no O's. I'll bet that Campbell's keeps
a tight hold on the O's to protect their Spaghetti O's.
Annie's Homegrown make the Bernie's O's they might be lower in sugar but
contain cheese.
I'm in the Chicago area with lots of small ethnic markets. I'll keep
looking for Anelli. I'll also check with my Italian neighbors, they'll
know where I can buy Anelli.

Now you got me wanting to make Vegan Spaghetti O's for my daughter.

That is a big and useful clue, thanks! At least now I have a better
search term to use.

Thanks for looking on my behalf everyone

Found it!
Minelli Brothers Italian Specialties & Liqrs

I just called them. They carry anelli regularly but might be out of it
at the moment. I didn't ask if they'd ship it to you. You can call and
ask for yourself or maybe they can put you in touch with the distributor.

I found one mail order place for anelli and anellini ( smaller rings ).
Shipping was astronomical.

I found one Italian grocery in my area that sells anellini, so I am
going to try to find anelli locally.

Thanks again for the clue!

I found this brand of Anelletti 56 ( a different size)
http://www.pastatomasello.it/azienda_en.php. It was $1.39 a pound, not bad.
Hope you can find it at your local market.

I'll have "spaghetti O's" tomorrow. I'm just going to mix the Anelletti
with "Dei Fratelli" marinara sauce.
