I ordered a book/DVD combo from Alissa Cohen on April 26, 2006. I have

receive my merchandise yet. I called the number at the bottom of Alissa

name of "Carmel" answered the telephone. She told me "TOO BAD, YOU ARE

check for the $86.00 and Alissa told her to give me a message saying

Filing a lawsuit in small claims court for the maximum because of the

horrible way I was treated by this person "Carmel" who answers Alissa
Cohen's

telephone and because I never received my products from Alissa Cohen
but

according to my bank, Alissa cashed my check and depostited it in her

bank account, which I have a copy of the front and back check(please

below for a picture of check with Alissa's signature on it). She has
not

delivered my products or refunded the money. Alissa posted on numberous


newsgroups that she has no intentions on returning the money and she is

It has been over 30 days and I have not received my goods yet. I have

husband

I can say that I know from experience that Alissa is rather easily
"frightened" and not very bright about discerning what is a
threatening situation and what isn't. I suspect that she doesn't
get enough protein for her brain to function at optimum efficiency.
And she is also probably easily threatened because she is
makiung her living off of her "raw food guru-ism," and she can't
tolerate anything that threatens that.

Now, this person does seem a little off-kilter, with all the "yelling"
she's doing, but I'm offering my two cents here about Alissa.

legal action.

In my case, she did it only because I complained about
being censored. In no way did I say anything threatening in
any way. In fact, I'd say that she was more insulting to me.
The most insulting thing I said to her was that I was glad I
got my copy of her book used so that she would not profit off of
me, and that it is natural for people to not like being censored,
and that good internet forums use a minimum of control.

I think both these women are crazy, and I hope they resolve their
problem without bothering the legal system about it.

Alissa Cohen the raw food book author owes more than just the $86.00.
Alissa Cohen owes restitution to the buyer. Alissa Cohen is using the
buyers money for her own personal use by buying items for herself and
earning interest with the buyers money. This is gonig on two months
now. Alissa Cohen not only should refund the $86.00 immedietly, but
Alissa Cohen should also send the items purchased as a FREE
COMPLIMENTARY gift to the buyer because of Alissa not sending the items
in the first place and making the buyer wait nearly 2 months which the
buyer is still waiting. If this were to go in front of a judge, then
Alissa would have to pay more than $86.00 restitution. Alissa would
have to pay upwards of $10.000.00 in restitution to the court system
