Default Asperger

In checking to find on-topic, substantive posts from C James Strutz from
the last three weeks, I found the following.

I am 45 years old and have always had lots of difficulty
socializing with other people,
-- Strutz, 16 Dec 2004, http://tinyurl.com/5hvko

That's the understatement of the year. You come off as a major league
asshole at times.

I'm sorry about your Asperger Disorder, or whatever you may have that
causes you difficulty in social settings, but you can deal with it on
your own time. The fact remains that you've added little or nothing of
substance to any of the discussions in which I've participated and in
which you've felt compelled to jump in with both fists swinging. All
your posts in the last few weeks, with the exceptions of the peanut soup
thread and SOME of the discussion in the Meet Your Vegan Mommy/Witch
thread, have been personal attacks -- the very thing you accuse of me
perpetrating to feel better about myself (feel better about yourself?).
Meanwhile, I've been posting on-topic and relevant information that's
shown you to be in error (and *not* semantics).

I didn't seek you out for conflict, James. You've sought me out. You've
been the one who's always said that I don't ever let things rest, yet
you're the one who never relents -- even interjecting yourself into
discussions just to stir shit. And I'm not being defensive here. I'm
recalling some of the bullshit you pulled with Mr Ball about "soup can"
recipes and avoiding civil discussion with him at all cost even though
he was politely asking you questions. You bitch a lot about my MO, but
have you ever stopped to consider your own?

If you want some usenet conflict, remember that you still have a lot of
questions and issues you've never dealt with after casting aspersions
that somehow I'm out of the mainstream. You don't have to go out of your
way to open any new wounds. Despite the shitty way you've handled
things, I told you I'm willing to discuss it civilly. I still am. I see,
though, that all your waffling and dodging over older issues won't stop
you from seeking to stir shit with them in other threads.

Do you want civil discussions, or are you only going to do the very
things you exaggerate and accuse me of doing?

It's your choice. Just remember I offered it to you.

The Autism newsgroup is a support group and is very personal to me. I wish
you would, in the future, not publicize personal information about me in a
public forum in which it is not relevant. If you wish to discuss personal
issues with me regarding Asperger Syndrome or anything else, you are welcome
to email me personally. I don't hide behind pseudonyms or false email
addresses. As much as we bash each other here, I would NEVER post personal
information about you. You, on the other hand, have now posted personal
information about me and that is a new low.

That's the understatement of the year. You come off as a major league
asshole at times.

I have little doubt that if a vote were taken in this newsgroup you would
come away as the clear winner as the biggest asshole. Care to dispute that?

I'm sorry about your Asperger Disorder, or whatever you may have that
causes you difficulty in social settings, but you can deal with it on your
own time.

I have until you brought it here.

Meanwhile, I've been posting on-topic and relevant information that's

Only in your mind's eye have you shown me to be in error. I present valid
arguments which you disregard in a number of ways: denial, challenging
people to prove negatives, changing contexts, insults, abuse, etc.
Interestingly, you badger people not to employ the same tactics that you use
yourself. It's not a level playing field with you.

I didn't seek you out for conflict, James.

You seek conflict with everybody.

And I'm not being defensive here. I'm recalling some of the bullshit you
pulled with Mr Ball about "soup can" recipes and avoiding civil discussion
with him at all cost even though he was politely asking you questions.

You really have a selective memory, don't you? I have had many disputes with
Jon Ball in the past, but we've more or less come to some mutual
understanding some time ago. At the time he was not being as polite as you
want to remember.

You bitch a lot about my MO, but have you ever stopped to consider your
own?

You write a lot of good stuff here, much of it is helpful and correct.
However, you often take a contrary position as far to the other side of the
truth as those who you debate, usually with a lot of unnecessary attitude. I
challenge you when I believe it is warranted and I match attitude with
attitude. I don't particularly like being aggressive but that seems to be
the only way to get your attention.

If you want some usenet conflict, remember that you still have a lot of
questions and issues you've never dealt with after casting aspersions that
somehow I'm out of the mainstream.

Get over it. As I remember it you were very much concerned why I thought you
were far to the right politically. You want to draw me into a political
discussion and I'm not going there with you. It's off topic and just not
that important to me.

You don't have to go out of your way to open any new wounds.

You mean in the way you have brought my Asperger Syndrome into the mix?? Why
is it okay for you but not for me?

Do you want civil discussions, or are you only going to do the very things
you exaggerate and accuse me of doing?

It's your choice. Just remember I offered it to you.

Yeah, that's very noble of you. The problem here is that we don't see things
the same way. But you and I and everyone else might try harder to find
common ground in which civil discussions can take place. After all, we have
this marvelous forum in which information and ideas can be exchanged. I will
make an effort if you make an effort. It must go ALL ways. Deal?

One more thing: I go by Jim. It will be a good start towards civility if you
address me as everyone else does.

The trolls here like to use age as an insult. It only
ends up showing that they are either afraid of aging,
or they have unresolved issues with the older
authority figures in their lives.

Well, Jonathan Ball (currently Gay Santa) turned 53 on
the third of this month, Ray is around 60, Dutch is 11 and
a half, Rick Etter doesn't know his age, and I'm 42.

It only
ends up showing that they are either afraid of aging,
or they have unresolved issues with the older
authority figures in their lives.

Maybe you should just put "Jim Strutz" in your e-mail setting and make
it easier for everyone to figure out.

I know you never note your snips, fatso, but this bit of editing is
pretty lame even by your non-standards.

So ****ing what, you ****ed up piece of dirt.

I know you're still ****ed off that I showed you to be a sleazy, rank
hypocrite in AAEV and TPA today, but come on, where's that holiday
spirit, Nash?

No, dummy, Retard snipped what I quoted.

I don't view Mr Strutz as an authority figure, and I'm pretty sure
nobody will *ever* see you as one.

dammit, I hadn't suspected that yet - I will now add Jay to the blocked list

please clarify - is that supposed to be 5.2 or 52?

Oh was "Gay Santa" a play on Jay Santos? If it is, I think you are tarring a
lot of nice gay people with the same brush. Anyway JB can take early
retirement soon.
