Default veg spread in 'how it all vegan'

just tried making both the 'buttery spread' and 'vegetable spread', i think
they're called, on page 85 i think of how it all vegan. the buttery spread
certainly didn't live up to earth balance, but then again, it's actually
healthy (as in, not a giant tub of fat), so i should expect that i guess.
kindof like the baked potato chips i tried today. but the chips grow on
you, so i figure the buttery spread might too. might be good on toast with
nutritional yeast sprinkled on it or something. anyhow, the veggie spread
was good, although i accidentally doubled the basil (and used fresh dill
instead of dried, and yellow pepper instead of green). it had quite a bite
to it, from the raw onion and garlic, but i thought it was pretty good in a
multigrain pita with tomato and lettuce. i'm trying to find healthier stuff
and pry myself away from heavenly delicious earth balance and vegenaise.
mmm...fattening ()
