Here is a brief list of things we CAN USE (and have available) Please note now every possible item is listed so if you have question about something please inquire. FRUITS - Papaya, grapes (black especially), pomegranate, gooseberry (amla), jimica Is jimica the same as jicama (root vegetable)? If so you can slice the jicama into a fruit salad with grapes and maybe grape juice (if you can drink that). It'll soak up the flavor of the grapes. You could try pouring the juice of the pomegranate into it, but I've never had pomegranate yet so I don't know what it tastes like. I haven't had gooseberries either, but they might be able to go into the same salad if you think it would fit. VEGETABLES ETC. - Spinach (all green leaf veggies), squash, zucchini (hard to get here), broccili, cabbage, green beens, potato varely rarely, small green chick peas (called green gram)-boiled and strained through muslin cloth sprouts with roots only-no seed attached Steam yellow squash and zucchin together and serve over a bed of greens. The sweetness of the squash might help to contrast with the bitterness of the greens. Put some of your spices over a potato. GRAINS - oats, wheat porridge, rice (chipped, flat, puffed etc.) Add grapes to the porridge. ![]() SPICES - Hing, ginger, induppu salt, cumin, tumeric, corriander, fenugreek, black pepper, mint Almonds - a few each day thanks Michael Almonds are a good topping for almost anything. I'd use them in oatmeal if I was restricted to the list you have. -Rubystars |
