I love cabbage but seldom cook it cause I don't really have a good recipe
other than adding it to soups or stews, but I'm looking for a recipe where cabbage is the main ingredient. I prefer it cooked to tender rather than raw. thanks. |

That is how humans were meant to eat cabbage. |

Howdy;
Coarsly grate (6-8 ounces) Microwave for one minutes on high (1200 watt oven) While microwaving, finely chop a large mushrooms (or more depending on your preference) and add to mix, Microwave an additional minute, drain any excess fluid Sprinkle with Paramsean (sp?) cheese (more or less - your choice) I personally like lots! Micro 30-45 seconds. Remove and let cool (about 10 minutes) Sprinkle with Curry powder. Refrigerate for a couple hours and... Voila! a veggie treat (can be reheated but will be pretty soggy) Enjoy Dan "Just Me" wrote in message ink.net... I love onions so I wouldn't use less than two large yellow onions for this; your preference may vary. Coarsely chop a head of cabbage, and add it to the onions. Add some water--about 1/2 cup or so--and simmer, covered, until the cabbage is cooked to your liking. That's it, but it's very tasty! The combination of olive oil, sauteed onions, and cabbage makes for a slightly sweet taste. This is good hot, at room temperature, and even cold; it's nice over rice, too. -- Be kind to animals. Go with mashed potatoes and ham. |
