Default DIY Decaff (green) tea or any tea

i seen this in the decaff(green) tea thread... and it reminded me that
if someone is sensitive to caffeine or just doesnt want too much of it.
a very good way to diy-decaff is to quickly brew and toss the water,
most of the caffeine will dissolve in the water before that taste does.
i wonder if coffee works like this?
