Hi,
I am new to the group, but have a question. I am looking for a good source for loose green (and white) tea. I've been happy with Adagio teas, but I am looking for other sources. Any good experiences with online suppliers? Thanks Jane contact myotheremail, at sign, att, dot, net. |

Welcome to the group Jane!
I have had good luck with Teaspring and Holy Mountain myself. Upton has something called a Special Green Mao Feng (it's not like a regular Huang Shan MF) that I like. I have heard good things mentioned abut Gray and Seddon and sencha.com for Japanese sencha, but that's not my taste in greens at this time. Others mentioned that I have not ordered from yet are Jing tea shop and Imperial Tea Court. Hope this helps. Melinda -- "I know. You know I know. I know you know I know. Hi Jane,
I have ordered green tea from Upton Tea many times over the last 4 -5 years, and have never been disappointed. Excellent tea, and top-notch service. http://www.uptontea.com/ Organic Wuyuan Ruikang is a great value, but I also like Wang Fu Yu Long and Yun Cui. Not affiliated with them, just a very satisfied customer. Buy with confidence. Chuck |

I've been very happy with www.specialteas.com. I'm not affiliated in any
way, I'm just a happy customer. Good Luck, and welcome to the group. T "Jane Erickson" wrote in message ... Hi, I am new to the group, but have a question. I've been really happy with Upton, www.uptontea.com, and order most of my teas from them. I've also been satisfied with Culinary Teas, www.culinaryteas.com, and The Tea Table, www.theteatable.com, but I order from them only occasionally a couple of teas that Upton doesn't offer. -- ~~Bluesea~~ Spam is great in musubi but not in email. I tried both Adagio, and culinaryteas.com, but my all time
favorite is www.fahguo.com. They sell the complete line of Fah Guo Mountain Tea. I first tried their Stature Series Jasmine Pearls at the The Regent Beverly Wilshire at year and have since continued buying it online. The Stature White Peony is also very exquisite. I use try these ones or other varities, please post in here because I have not tried the other varities yet. Ilona .. |

I have tried the Pinnacle Pu Erh, Pinnacle White Peony, and
the Stature Green Baby Bells. They are definately the best loose teas I ever tried, but I did not purchased it online. I brought it from the natural food store near CBS in LA. If you like black teas, try the Pu Erh. Good luck, Bonnie. .. |

I am new to the group, but have a question. I am looking for a good
source for loose green (and white) tea. I've been happy with Adagio teas, but I am looking for other sources. Any good experiences with online suppliers? Thanks Jane i just got interested in tea about 5 weeks ago and spent many hours online. i have ordered from 3 or 4 places and my faves so far a theteatable.com (as mentioned below) with any purchase you can get up to 5 free samples. you can also order any size in ounces: 1,2,3,7,9, etc. my two deliveries so far from them came two days after ordering online. another place i love: enjoyingtea.com i'm in vermont and they're in san francisco, so their regular shipping was pretty slow, like 8 or 9 days. you can get it faster for a lot more money. great tea selection. got an oolong sampler of 8 different teas for about $25, all the teas were great, and got between 1.5 and 2.5 ounces of each. another very nice site is jollygoodtea.com very nice service and delivery was about 3 or 4 days. i now have over 25 different teas: oolongs, greens (china and japan), black blends, china black, assams, darjeelings, etc. i would order 3-5 of one type, then get it down to 1 or 2 that i really liked. i find whites are pretty boring. i read on some site they said to mix it with other teas so it would be tastier. they have a lot of antioxidants, but aren't that exciting. i love oolongs, and have a couple of "more expensive" greens and other teas that i have once in a while. i think as a customer service they should give you samples, especially if you buy. i only ordered from one place that wouldn't give me a sample. i won't order from them again. hope this helps! chris |

About 4 months ago I went through the same thing. I tried lots of teas, most of which were recommended in this group. Some were good, some were not so good. Now I've settled on Twingings Earl Gray (bags) and PGTips, both loose and bagged. The loose taste best. |
