In their 1897 catalog, that is. "Japan -- Sun Dried, Green. For purity and
richness of flavor, they are unexcelled." Kind of a long shot, I know, but has anyone reading tried this?... 50 cents/lb, but only 43 cents/lb if you buy a 35lb half chest. They also offer a "Basket-fired, Black" from Japan. The Japan teas are cheaper than the other styles offered, including Ceylon Pekoe, Moning Congou, Gunpowder Moyune, Formosa Oolong, English Breakfast, and assorted Indias. "Michael Plant" wrote in message ... 1/29/04 "Order 10 or 20 pounds -- order enough to last six months." I'm inspired. I just did a little simple arithmetic and found that I use between 20 and 25 pounds of dry leaf per year. This includes tea I consume myself and tea drunk together with others. It does not include any tea I drink out in restaurants or friend's places. Curious to know how that compares. I figure me to be a little below 20lb a year. I'm certainly not going through 2lbs in a month. --crymad |

Don't take these figures out of context and assume I alone am doing all that drinking. My response comes after Michael Plant had written: I just did a little simple arithmetic and found that I use between 20 and 25 pounds of dry leaf per year. Factor in my wife and the occasional guest, and my unexceptional daily habit of 5-6 cups of tea a day fits into the above calculations nicely. --crymad |

No, more like comprehension trouble. As Bugs Bunny once put it, "What a maroon, what an ignoranimus." --Blair "Ever heard of 'plural'?" Ever heard of "get bent"? --crymad |
