Dear Tea lovers:
I always maintain good amount of Twining's "Prince Of Wales" Keemun tea for my own blend with my favorite Bangladeshi CTC or Orthodox tea. This is my hobby to make different types of blend. I use wide range of tea from all around the world. I know standard Keemun for blending is China black grades #1132 which one is hard to manage from here. So instead of Keemun #1132 I use Twining's "Prince of Wales". The supermarket I used to buy Twing's POW,without any notice they stop selling it for new higher taxation policy. Recently one of my friend visited Sri Lanka and I requested him to bring some "prince of Wales" for me. Guess what, he came back with "Prince of Wales" but it was world famous Sri Lanka's Dilmah brand. He drinks tea and love it too but don't give attention on the types or brand. He just saw the words "prince of Wales" and bought it. Dilmah's "Prince of Wales" is a light tea from Nuwara Eliya highland tea(very good). But with the blend of lemon and ginger. It can be an excellent evening tea but didn't serve my purpose as I said I use Twining's POW as a blend tea. I have also learned first time- "Prince of Wales" doesn't mean only twining. Any one here aware of any other types or brands of "Prince of Wales"? Thanks. Ripon (From Bangladesh) |
