The 2008 first flush DJs have started to be offered for sale (see for example http://www.uptontea.com/shopcart/item.asp?itemID=TD93). The price is rather high -- anytime a blurb is offered which contains the words "fierce bidding" you know they are explaining a price that they feel to be unusual. I like a tippy Darjeeling, but a recent vein of bad luck means that I'm more conscious of paying 28.80 USD for only 50g (1¼ oz.) of tea… Has anyone tasted the FFDJs yet, and would they comment as to the effect that winter conditions in India have had as to price vs. taste? Thanks. Ozzy |
