Default Thunderbolt Tea?

Has anybody ordered tea from Thunderbolt Tea lately? I placed an order
on Jan 26 and have received nothing thus far and all my attempts to
correspond with them have gone unanswered. I did use their "free
shipping" option, which is supposed to use regular mail and according to
their site could take 15-30 days to arrive. But were now at more than
six weeks.

I'm debating whether to go to my credit card company and dispute the
charge. However, the research I've done on the Web says that this is a
pretty good company with a pretty good rep. I don't mind so much if it
takes a little longer to arrive (already waited this long), but I just
want to know it's coming!

Anybody have any experience with these guys?

Thanks!

Takes a good month/six weeks/or a little longer - India and Customs
and Homeland
Security. Comes in wonderful hand-sewn white cloth package. Pretty
good tea. Hold on.

I have only ordered from them once, but my order was worryingly slow
and they never responded to my emails at all. When the tea finally
arrived, the magnificent packaging made me feel like I was a receiving
a package not from just a far off place but also from a far off
time!! So I would second Shen's "Hold on" suggestion.

Thanks all. This is what I suspected, but it's good to hear it from
folks who have placed orders with them.

I will definitely give it a little longer.

Thanks for the offer, Ankit.

This is my first time ordering something directly from India, so I
really just have no idea whether this kind of delay is normal or not.
As of today, it's been about 47 days since I placed the order. Do you
know how long it usually takes for mail to get from India to the US? Is
this normal?

Based on other responses, I'm guessing I should just wait for now. I've
never heard of anyone NOT getting their order from them, but delays do
seem to be the norm. As Shen pointed out, there are a lot of hurdles
between here and there.

Let me know if you think 47 days is longer than normal. If so, I'll be
glad to take you up on your offer!

Thanks again.

Ankit,

Just wanted to let you know that I called and spoke with Benoy. He
agreed that the order was most likely lost and is going to be sending it
out again via Speedpost. He said it would be here in maximum 2-3 weeks.

Thanks again for your assistance!
