Any good Pu's out there for a reasonable price? Maybe like under $30 or so? Just picked up the IPOT Green Pu-erh brick. If its the same one I had there a few years ago, I really liked it... Upton's expanding their puehr line. People who review them seem to like them. No personal opinion myself. Toci |

Toci I like Upton's pu-erh myself. Seems to have been a price rise in the last month or so, though. :-( Ozzy |

For stuff stateside I would recommend the Mengyang Guoyan Nannuo, the
Rongzhen Nannuo, and the Mengku Arbor King cakes from puerhshop.com, and the Yi Chang Hao from Houdeasianart.com (this runs at $36.50, but the cakes are worth the extra $6.50). That is assuming you are looking for green pu-erh, if you are looking for black pu-erh then you will have to ask someone else cuz I don't touch the stuff (tried dozens and dozens over the years and have given up completely). But those four cakes are all excellent values for their respective prices. If you start tapping the overseas markets then the Yunnan Tea Research Institute Nannuo (okay I am a Nannuo Fetishist, the stuff tastes pretty close to as good as Yiwu stuff and it is invariably much cheaper) cake from Yunnan Sourcing is good but the price is climbing pretty fast. Dragon Tea House also has a few Changtai Cakes that are all tasty (I prefer the jinggu - or jingzu or whatever). Basically the overseas markets should mostly have all the cakes at under thirty dollars (mostly), while the stateside stuff is mostly very close to the thirty dollar mark mostly. Happy Hunting |

Happy Hunting Seems like you are the master of Pu-erhs! Any advice on what samples /not/ to get from puerhshop.com? I want to get as many samples as possible but to avoid the ones that are definitely not interesting. Thanks! |
