Basically, I go for German, Belgium, Czech, and Canadian and American
craft beers. And even though it is a tea forum, I'd be happy to hear
of some favorites from Lars, Natarajan, or anyone else who;d like to
share a short list... that's how I find many of my now favorites.

My favorites the last several years would be "Bohemian", a Czech beer,
that have not been able to find lately, and "Leffe" from Belgium.

Much to my surprise I have also found several very good beers from
America. Samuel Adams is one that comes to mind. When I have been
"over there" I have had mostly real crappy beer. Bud, Schlitz etc.

I am also quite fond of "Kingfisher", from India, and "Nils Oscar
India Ale" wich is a Swedish take on Indian beer.

Bohemian is now on my list and I plan on calling my distributer on
Monday, that is a new one to me.

Leffe is very good (and very inexpensive). I left out Delirum Tremens,
Hacker-Pschorr, and Avery wheat. (I swear that is about the end of my
list except for a few oddballs here and there.)

I never thought others on here would be into a good beer, but it
stands to reason. For any of you who knew of him Michael Jackson (The
Beer Hunter) passed away about a week ago... his books are some of the
best in the world, and his writing is amazing.

You know you're in a real Irish pub when you can order a Black Velvet
of Guinness and Champagne. The most delicious wicked tingly fuzzy
drink you can imagine. If you ever order a half and half or black and
tan served 'broke' send it back. Some first generation Irish guys
from New York just started a pub nearby. They still have the accent
and the stories of their families. I fall off the bandwagon about
once a month for a pint. I don't have to worry because other
medication makes me pay the price for even that with a massive
headache.

Oh dear, Dominic. "Just" a Guinness? "Just" nectar of the gods? "Just" the
sweet morning dew off of the shamrocks...? Ok now I'm waxing poetic ::teary
