Default Anji White - brewing tips

Got a sample of this in the post today...

treat it as green ?? ie cooler water 80-90 degrees, shorter steeps??

Only have a small quantity so would appreciate some tips from someone more
familiar with this tea

You can treat it as a green, but don't keep the steeps too short.
White tea is rather subtle and light. I usually use the glass method
to drink most of my greens/whites. It should come across as rather
sweet, but you could miss out if you brew it too short.

How do you plan to brew?

Which "White"? Is it Anji Baicha or Anji Baipian? This is important as
the brewing methods would be different.

Anji Baicha or Anji Baipian, it should be a green tea. The name is a
misnomer.

Can't say for sure, Sample packet just says An Ji - White. Looking at the
golden tea house web site (who sent me the sample), the leaf looks like the
An Ji Bai Cha item. Leaf is dull emerald green - broth is very, very light
green - one could say almost white

Hi Mal,

Colour of the brewed leaf? Is it greenish, or ivory? & the colour of
the stem?
