Hi,
visited tonight (thursday)... just asked for "chef's choice" and got the sekisui special... also got flying fish roe and smelt roe (side by side to compare) and a neat tuna tartare that was an interesting little gift... spicy yet smooth and a very interesting finish to the meal. wife got a diamo(sp?) cooked combo. hers looked good and what I tasted was good as usual. my sashimi and sushi was all Top Notch, well prepared and well presented. Fresh and Delicious, the fresh salmon was just melt in your mouth buttery wonderful... fish to rice ratio was very good.... Jimmy Ishi was there personally overseeing the operation... not many people (they just quietly opened on monday) and will close for 2 weeks in january to do some remodeling... but the sushi was great... best I've had in months. in the former Sogo location on goodman road just east of US-51 (east of I-55 on the south side of the street). Anonymouse wrote: Hi, Sekisui Southern will be opening December 5th in the former Sogo location on Goodman Road just east of US 51. It's sure to be an improvement over the only OK sushi sogo featured. -- - Call me ruthless, amoral, but never call me dishonest. - |

How does it compare to their location in Midtown? well while I find the Midtown location -fun- especially for lunch or happy hour the itamae lacks... well... finesse ... puts a lot of easy low grade rolls out on the line... a la carte sushi isn't that hot either... but the Horn Lake chef is on par with humphrey's easy... as good as at the sushi bar service/style/quality as Pacific Rim. I'll be there thursday. ttyl akia -- - Call me ruthless, amoral, but never call me dishonest. - |

If you're going there anyway, you might as well take advantage of the
coupons available at http://mem-cc.memphis-forless.com/details.php?pid=7047 (1/2 off). As of this writing, there are over 60 left. Jack |

Hi,
should warn you before you buy a bunchk of sekisui coupons they have expiration dates on them... I know... I bought 2 for humprey's, lost one for a while, and they won't honor it since it's "expired". The owner of the web site caught the mistake but still honored the purchase, sending me two coupons for $25 off. I almost feel obligated to patronize them when I can. -- DrPostman USPS, MBMC, BsD; "Disgruntled, But Unarmed" Member,Board of Directors, afa-b, SKEP-TI-CULT® #15-51506-253.
