Watch this video clip of the crocodile hunter (aka Steve Irwin) feeds crocodile with his baby on one hand. After feeding the croc, he's like playing barbie and ken right in from the croc.! This is outrageous! I can't bare this! If you think Michael Jackson is bad..this is 10 times worse! Tommy |

In both cases, their fame got them out of this. I was reading that
Queensland Police and their version of Child Services will not be filing charges or having Irwin arrested. It kind of makes you wonder if this had been someone else would they still have arrested them. What is worse is that Irwin's wife and the mother of the child was nearby and finding the whole thing amusing. The Irwins are some roll models. This incident certainly is not great parenting on their parts as far as I am concerned. -- Panther TEK: Staying On Top Of All Your Computer Needs! www.members.cox.net/catprotector/panthertek Cat Galaxy: All Cats, All The Time! www.catgalaxymedia.com "Tom Smith" wrote in message om... http://go.jitbot.com/croc_hunter Watch this video clip of the crocodile hunter (aka Steve Irwin) feeds crocodile with his baby on one hand. When is the last time you knew a vacuum cleaner had teeth, a tail and could
possibly eat a little baby. In Irwin's case one slip and that croc could have grabbed that kid. Irwin used pretty poor judgment as did his wife who should have known better since she did hand him the child. -- Panther TEK: Staying On Top Of All Your Computer Needs! www.members.cox.net/catprotector/panthertek Cat Galaxy: All Cats, All The Time! www.catgalaxymedia.com "Blair P. Just before I replaced it, my last vacuum cleaner melted its own baseplate and ruined about $7k in carpeting before it burst into flames. And have you ever shoved a vacuum cleaner into a baby? Nor have I. But they're not innocuous, and that powerhead is rotating at about a thousand RPM. Not safe. In Irwin's case one slip and that croc could have grabbed that kid. Irwin used pretty poor judgment as did his wife who should have known better since she did hand him the child. One slip and that crock could have grabbed his nuts, more than once in the tens of thousands of times he's poked at one. I'd say that baby was safer than the croc was. --Blair "And gets a much better deal at lunch." |

I saw him on the TV this afternoon explaining what he termed "perceived danger". He said he wouldn't think of approaching a horse with his baby, but he has no problem dealing with a crocodile that way. Sounds about right. He also mentioned the important fact that his backyard is literally a crocodile habitat (as is much of Australia, as is much of Florida). His child is in more danger if he doesn't get used to their behavior than if he does, because he'll be running into them all the time. --Blair "Kid'll probably go into accounting." |

Roy knew his way around big cats and the tiger still attacked him. Wild
animals are unpredictable and why take a chance with a one month old baby? JudyF "Blair P. Houghton" wrote in message ... Cat Protector wrote: In both cases, their fame got them out of this. The worst thing about Irwin is that he said if given the chance he'd do it
again without the camera around. I guess he is one of those people that simply does not learn. I think your reasoning is a bit falwed here. Horses don't eat babies but a croc will. Irwin seems to make excuses for doing what he did but to put a child in that kind of danger like that is wrong. -- Panther TEK: Staying On Top Of All Your Computer Needs! www.members.cox.net/catprotector/panthertek Cat Galaxy: All Cats, All The Time! www.catgalaxymedia.com I saw him on the TV this afternoon explaining what he termed "perceived danger". "-L." wrote in message m... Oh, please! At one month old?!? This was a sick pub stunt, that's all. They should take the kid away from that nutcase. OK, so exactly how do you think Irwin was endangering the child? He's clearly an expert in handling these animals, and he was surrounded by a similarly highly-trained staff who could have quickly come to his rescue (and it would be HIS rescue, not the baby's, as Irwin was clearly keeping himself as the potential target for the croc if anyone was) in the highly unlikely case of the croc successfully attacking him. Just because YOU do not know how to handle a given situation safely does not mean that someone else cannot. Or are you arguing that not child/infant should ever be placed in any situation that could POSSIBLY be dangerous? If so, you could make the case for "taking the kid away from that nutcase" for EVERY parent on the planet. Irwin has always said that he himself was taught from a very early age how to deal with wildlife, including (perhaps ESPECIALLY including) crocodiles, and that he intends to make sure his children have that same experience and training. Again, that you yourself do not possess such expertise or familiarity with these creatures does not in any way qualify you to judge the actions of those who do, no matter how "common sense" you think your position to be.
