Default Recipes for dolphin?

Greetings,

The previous posting made me hungry. Does anyone know if dolphin can be
consummed in the US? I've been trying to get some kujira for a while,
without much success. Perhaps dolphin is easier to obtain.

(No, this isn't a troll; I don't tell you what to eat, please don't try
to dictate what I do. Thank you.)

Thx in advance,

I don't think you can find it in the US.
Something called the Marine Mammal Protection Act or something.
You wont find it easily in Japan either where you can find Minke whale at
some
fish markets. You might try Norway.

In article ,
says...

He, he, he...

If you have a Korean market nearby, look for tinned Red Pepper Tuna.
Very tasty without being too spicy. I thought you might want to check it
out.

I repeat, I have never seen "porpoise or dolphin meat" fresh, frozen or
canned in any supermarket or
fish store in Japan.
A couple of years ago there was a scandal in Japan involving some dishonest
merchants who were caught
selling porpoise/dophin meat falsely labeled as "whale meat".
I question the accuracy of that portion of this article, or the article may
have meant that it was used
for "canned cat food".

They ARE whales, technically.

Yes technically. But you cant sell porpoise meat in a country where whale
meat is eaten
and expect to get away with it by that argument.

Not to be crass but why is it OK to eat tuna and not porpoise? For that
matter, why cow and not horse? We find something cute, useful, or
intelligent and we stop eating them? If dolphins were as dumb as tuna, they
would be dinner.

Just an observation....

You are right objectively.
But the problem is that people who advocate animal-rights etc usually act
with
their emotions rather than objective reason.

I think it becomes less OK to eat animals when they become endangered.

A perfectly valid reason to not eat particular animals. Much better than
"but they're so cute"

Doesn't the phrase "eat particular animals" sound so barbaric? I'll think
about it over a cheeseburger.....

Cuteness of an animal shouldn't have anything to do with it, when you're
considering it for food. It should be how tasty and plentiful.

Dolphins are sentient beings. They have larger brains than humans. Why
not discuss "long pig" sushi while you're at it?
