In 1903 a recipe for this oatmeal bread was posted to the news groups. It
said that it was baked by Gene and tested by Carlos. It calls for 1 cup of starter. If anyone knows about this, could you clarify what hydration that starter was? Thanks in advance ( I hope). Ellen |

Are you talking about this recipe? http://home.att.net/~carlsfriends/genepics/oatmeal.html Since this is on the Carl's Friends site I imagine they are using Carl's starter at 100% hydration by volume.
