Default noisy starter?

I'm new to the whole sourdough thing, but today I noticed I can actually
HEAR my starter bubbling. I mean you can really hear it "popping". I'm
assuming that's a sign of a good, healthy starter, correct?

Howdy,

Either a healthy starter, or a healthy imagination...g

I'd go with the former,

It's a healthy, bubbling starter. You only hear that sound when lots of big
bubbles are begin produced quickly. I'm not happy with my starter when I
can't get it to do that.
