From time to time it has been suggested to consider quite
carefully the advisability of replying to posters who:

o do not give information sufficient for emailing specific replies

o do not provide unique identities (e.g., one-name noobies)

o crosspost

o post off-topically

o otherwise flaunt inappropriate Usenet conduct

It seems a good time to review these suggestions.

A newsgroup in disarray discourages serious posts and thoughtful
conversations. Rather, it attracts dilettantes, exhibitionists, and=20
other sorts best named in the vernacular.

This is the first post on this newsgroup worth reading in a long time.
Thanks for the reminder, Dick.

Is this sort of result due to the sourdough or perhaps due to the
type of flour?

Probably due to the French -- they are intent on sabotaging our efforts.

Please note: Pain au levain is now referred to as Freedom Bread.

F^%k you, Mr "Freedom" Adams.
Until you apologize.

'Cause, you know, lots of patriotic red-blooded Americans
are doing that kinda stuff these days.

Or explain what killing 2500 children has to do with patriotism, or
for that matter, sourdough.

You seem to be the only one who has the time to concern yourself with how
others on this group conduct themselves. Woe betide those who do not
"consider quite carefully the advisability of replying." Dire words indeed!
Nevertheless, I find myself quite comfortable replying to those posts I find
of interest. Sometimes we even actually learn from the exchange of ideas.

o do not give information sufficient for emailing specific replies

Possibly you require a higher degree of expertise to discern the information
on posted messages. Possibly more handholding and guidance as it were.

o do not provide unique identities (e.g., one-name noobies)

Unique identities???? A line of dashes would be a pretty unique identity,
however, what purpose it would serve leaves one to ponder. Ah yes, here we
also observe Mr. Ben A. Noobie-Never presenting us with his daily
noobie-bashing.

o crosspost

I'll give you a little leeway with this one.

o post off-topically

Where, may I inquire, is there a mention of sourdough in this post,
(excepting the one I just typed?)

o otherwise flaunt inappropriate Usenet conduct

And constant noobie-bashing, vitriolic sarcasm, and impolite posts in which
you seem to revel, are appropriate?

THE NEWSGROUP IS IN DISARRAY! So that's your reason for putting up with us
poor dumb innocents, and lowering yourself to grace us with your great
charm and wisdom.

Me-thinks thou hast too much time on thy hands.
