I visited Samartha's web site and got several image placeholders that have the word "forbidden" in them, with no image to be seen. I am sorry for you having to go through this. I will explain it below, why this is happening and I will try to contact you by private email to sort this out. However, as I see, your email address won't work. If you figure out mine from the footer of this email, please contact me. I am interested in fixing this problem. There is a rudimentary protection mechanism in place intended to prevent anonymous wholesale automatic download of all my pictures which happened and I do not feel comfortable allowing this. This works on all larger pictures except thumbnails. The mechanism is somewhat browser dependent and I cannot check all possibilities since I can't simulate every browser and internet service coming on my web pages. I log the errors but have no means to contact the originators. Unfortunately, some well intended visitors are affected as well. I am actually glad that this comes up because a similar mechanism is also applied to email links and the folks getting the "forbidden" image probably can't send me email from my web pages as well. There is an unbelievable amount of scanning web pages for email addresses going on. It's guaranteed that when your email address appears plainly on a web page, it will be spammed very soon in increasing amounts. There are some images (on some pages on the web site) that I can see, but I thought I might ask why I am experiencing this problem. You should be able to see all pages as they come up. If that's not the case, please let me know. I see once and a while that pictures don't come up and fix them as I see it happening. I do want to add that it looks like it will be an informative web site for me as I get back into sourdough bread making. Don Hellen -- remove -nospam from my email address, if there is one SD page is the http://samartha.net/SD/ |
