Usually when I pay by credit card, I leave the restaurant's receipt copy
(signed with tip) at the table. I take my copy of the receipt and the check with me. Is this wrong? Am I supposed to leave the check at the table? Does it matter? Thanks. coolcat |

I have no idea, but I always leave the check and I make sure the signed receipt is picked up by the waitperson before I leave because its too easy for another customer to grab that receipt and misuse my credit card information. If you're really curious, just ask the next time you dine out. |

Most places require by law a merchant to give you a receipt that shows the tax. |

I leave the check at the table along with the signed merchant's copy of the
receipt. As someone else mentioned, it is a good idea to make sure it's picked up before leaving just to avoid any confusion. -- Matt Barry Visit my pages at: http://mbarry84.tripod.com http://filmreel.blogspot.com "Shawn Hirn" wrote in message ...
