I am back in the San Francisco Bay Area after a long break, and I
would like to find restaurants (East Bay best, but anywhere in the area
good) that serve Rijstafel.

You might ask in ba.food. I couldn't come up with any in the East
Bay, but Borobodur on 700 Post St in SF is good. I've eaten at Java on
Clement, too, though not the rijstafel. I found a listing for Jakarta
on Balboa, but I've never been there.

Thanks for the tip. I ate rijstafel at the Java on Clement around 1984
and it was wonderful. It was my first time for rijstafel. I recently
read a posting that knocked it, so who knows.
