Yeah - this guy is a real class act - They don't even *serve*
Fettucinni Alfredo.

Parden me, Mr. Sqwertz, but they DO serve FETTUCINI WITH CHICKEN in a
cream sauce. Any kitchen should easily be able to make fettucinni
alfredo.

Oh. Now you're saying a chain restaurant should veer from its corporate
mandated formula for portion control.

Listen Mr. Joe, you need to come out of your closet in your spare
bedroom, and see what's happening in Restaurant World. There's another
national chain that will serve FA on the side even though it's not
listed on their menu. It's not hard to prepare, you know.

Chain #1 does not determine how chain #2 runs its restaurants.

How old are you?

Why, you wanna play?

I want to know how you could be so naiive and clueless. The only good excuse
would be that you are very young and haven't experienced much of the world
yet.

Naiive and clueless, 'bout what?! I simply reported my experience at
CF to help inform others what they don't serve so other people will
know what to expect when they visit there. Come on, it's not THAT bad!

unusual but not enough to spoil the meal. I'll just have to get it at
another restaurant that does serve it on the side. I can hardly wait

How about you try ordering what's on the menu, and see if that makes a

I did! It was on the menu! Just not served as a side dish.

Then why not choose a side dish that IS on the menu?

Certainly the easiest way to go with the boring chain places where
customer service is often marginal. At higher end restaurants they make
a lot more effort to accommodate special requests.

It's *NOT* a high end restaurant. That poster would be a lot happier
if he ate at home.

No, it isn't, it's a medium level chain restaurant that does reasonably
well for what they do. I do however find their "menu" full of
advertising irritating.

Try ordering pecan pie. That's not on their meny either.

If you are having trouble getting a meny from the waitress perhaps you
should look it up online:

http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/menu.htm

If the waitress does give you a menu, perhaps you should have a lok at it
and make your selection from one of the items listed. I am absolutely
positive that you would get a more sympathetic response in this group if
you had been ordering items from the menu and they were always out of
those things, but you keep harping about not being able to get items in a
franchise that are not on their menu.

Because some restaurants, from past experience, are willing to be
accomodating whenever they can. Simple ingredients can go a long way.

So does Dr. Pepper - that's where all the soft drinks evolved from and

I like Cheesecake Factory. They have a varied menu, the service is
good, and the prices are reasonable. I dislike Dr Pepper.

It's not a place I go out of my way to go to like say Fogo de Chao
(yum), but it's certainly in the running if I'm looking for a place to
eat and it's nearby.

I ordered something that was "indirectly" on the menu. The ingredients
are right there in the kitchen! It's about accomodation. Cheaper
restaurants do it! In fact, I've had salad dressing prepared for me
when the restaurant didn't actually serve it. Now that's service!

What "it's" looking for? I love that word choice, but I always get yelled

I'm starting to think of you as an arrogant, uncompassionate, spoiled,
foul-mouthed individual that enjoys slandering others.

Does that mean you like her? You seem to enjoy trolling for abuse.

While this is not a terribly involved process, it's certainly not
worth

Reality: We don't know if you are male or female, so for now, you are an
"it". You could change that in your next response, if you can stop frothing
at the mouth for a moment.

My bet is male and probably 15-16.

What a bunch of assholes. I bet they don't have liver and onions or

blood
sausage either. Tell them you want a side of head cheese. Order borscht
for your soup and walk out if they don't have it. Show them how bad they
really are.

As for the Dr. Pepper. tell them it is OK to substitute Mr. Pibb or
Cheerwine. Better yet, demand Lime Ricky. Any decent restaurant should
have it.

Show'em who's boss. Keep going there until they meet your demands and

have
everything you want on the menu.

This time, I ordered something that was on the menu! They just don't
serve it on the side like other restaurants. BTW, I don't like Mr.
Pibb - it tastes like medicine.

Dr. Pepper was originally sold as medicine.

Paul

Reminds me of an old acquaintance who used to join me and a group of friends
to go to one of the seaside lobster rolls shacks in Long Island. She knew
the kind of place we were going to, but as soon as she opened the menu,
she'd complain that they didn't serve pasta or steak. These places serve
lobster rolls, fried clams, fish, and sometimes fried chicken, as a
concession to non-seafood eaters. They don't serve pasta or steak.

When you go into a restaurant and bitch and moan to get something special, do
you ever wonder how much snot and saliva goes into your meal? It is something
you really should worry about.
