Hi
I am looking for a good restaraunt in New York to celebrate the wife's 40th birthday (end of April evening)- can anyone help? Whats important is the view and good food (probably $400 for 2 adults and 2 kids). There will be 4 of us (inc. 2 teenage boys) so I would imagine traditonal american fayre to be the obvious choice. Can anyone give me some direction? Cheers Tony |

Hi Tony, Well you certainly have many to choose from here in NY. There aren't too many restaurants with great views. But my recommendations would include Tavern on the Green, the Sea Grill at Rockefeller Center, Smith and Wollensky steakhouse, and Virgil's Barbecue(theater distric). I'd rather go to Peter Luger for steaks. Or Churrasco Plataforma, especially with the whole family in tow. No view, but the place is fun, and if the teenage boys are the types with fully-activated appetites, they and the parents will be well taken care of. -- dgs |
