Default Do not EAT at COUSIN JACKS

Cousin Jack's was the most disappointing dining experience of our
life.
DO NOT EAT THERE!

We had arranged a large dinner with a fixed menu days ahead of time
and the restaurant was not prepared for any of us.

They did not have anything prepared off the fixed menu, not even
salads or soup as starters.

We waited 3 hours for our prearranged dinner. They had 1 waiter for
our group of 50+ people.

They refused to serve us until everyone had ordered.

We couldn't even get water. We had to go get our own water from the
server station.

The menu did not mention some pork/meat ingredients in the
descriptions for our vegetarian and kosher friends.

After we thought this horrible experience was over, they tried to
overcharge us despite the pre-determined price per person.

The food was not worth waiting 3 hours for! The band ended before 10PM
and we didn't eat until 10:30PM. This place had advertised itself as a
nightclub, but there was nothing to do after 10PM! There was a lot
more dancing going on at the neighboring clubs.

What a big waste of an evening!!!! This place has no integrity about
honoring contracts with large groups or conventions. They don't know
how to handle more than a few people at a time.

I doubt they can stay in business since all the restaurants who have
occupied this venue have not managed to stay afloat. This restaurant
doesn't know the first thing about customer service.

If you want to eat Cajun, you would be better off going up to Hermosa
Beach to the Ragin'Cajun.

It's been 6 months and I'm still upset!

THE WORST SERVICE AND FOOD WE HAVE EVER HAD!

Well, I suppose you could put a bullet through your hard palate. That would
end the pain, after all. But I think you should try to pick up the pieces
and move on instead. Heck, look at it this way: if they provided such awful
service to your party, then they're obviously not very competent
restaurateurs, and will soon drive themselves out of business.

Trust me. These things really do tend to come full circle.

Cousin Jack's at Long Beach, CA
Upset, yes. Moved on, definately. I just had to put it up so that people are aware.

And that's the best thing you can do; word of mouth will drive a bad
restaurant out of business faster than anything else.
