Cousin Jack's was the most disappointing dining experience of our
life. DO NOT EAT THERE! We had arranged a large dinner with a fixed menu days ahead of time and the restaurant was not prepared for any of us. They did not have anything prepared off the fixed menu, not even salads or soup as starters. We waited 3 hours for our prearranged dinner. They had 1 waiter for our group of 50+ people. They refused to serve us until everyone had ordered. We couldn't even get water. We had to go get our own water from the server station. The menu did not mention some pork/meat ingredients in the descriptions for our vegetarian and kosher friends. After we thought this horrible experience was over, they tried to overcharge us despite the pre-determined price per person. The food was not worth waiting 3 hours for! The band ended before 10PM and we didn't eat until 10:30PM. This place had advertised itself as a nightclub, but there was nothing to do after 10PM! There was a lot more dancing going on at the neighboring clubs. What a big waste of an evening!!!! This place has no integrity about honoring contracts with large groups or conventions. They don't know how to handle more than a few people at a time. I doubt they can stay in business since all the restaurants who have occupied this venue have not managed to stay afloat. This restaurant doesn't know the first thing about customer service. If you want to eat Cajun, you would be better off going up to Hermosa Beach to the Ragin'Cajun. It's been 6 months and I'm still upset! THE WORST SERVICE AND FOOD WE HAVE EVER HAD! |
